Event Overview:

The Rental Show® is the American Rental Association's annual convention and trade show for the equipment rental industry. It features construction/industrial equipment, general tool/light construction equipment and party/special event equipment.

NOTE: The Rental Show is a closed show, meaning only those involved in the equipment rental industry are eligible to register and attend.

Attendee Information:

Why attend?

  • More than 700 exhibitors
  • More than 350 Show-Only Specials
  • Networking with your peers
  • Educational seminars

Every aspect of the Show is designed with one thing in mind: profit.

  1. Show-Only Specials: The most measurable benefit of attending the Show is the savings on equipment purchases you can't find anywhere else. More than 350 exhibitors offered a Show-Only Special at the 2017 Show in Orlando.
  2. Networking: The easiest way to uncover profit-boosting strategies is simply talking with other rental operators. From the trade show floor to the seminars, social events and even your hotel lobby, the Show surrounds you with people who have conquered the challenges you're facing now.
  3. Education: In 2017, 22 rental-specific seminars were included with a full registration. From customer service, marketing and selling skills to managing teams and finances effectively, the Show's seminar lineup offers must-have insights for running a successful rental business today. The day before the Show, those in the party and event segment can attend Events & Tents, a one-day workshop.

Interested? In 2018, the Show will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The Show will begin with a full day of educational seminars on Feb. 18, and the trade show will follow from Feb. 19-21.

Exhibitor Information:

What is the one source the equipment rental industry relies on for new products, the latest revenue-generating trends and trusted vendors? The Rental Show, of course. And The Rental Show has been the gathering spot for the rental industry since the American Rental Association began with 21 business owners back in 1955. The Show is currently riding a six-year wave of continued attendance growth, which reflects the dynamic of the industry during this decade.

The Rental Show's trade show floor includes the following departments:

Construction/Industrial Equipment is almost exclusively rented by construction firms or contractors and is normally towed or driven to a job site. Examples include earthmoving equipment such as backhoes, excavators and trenchers; access equipment such as aerial work platforms and telehandlers; and large generators.

General Tool/Homeowner Equipment is usually rented by small contractors and do-it-yourself (DIY) homeowners and most can be transported by car or in the back of a pickup truck. The equipment is used for light construction, including building renovations and additions, concrete work and landscaping.

Party/Special Event Equipment covers rental of products to consumers for celebrations such as weddings, graduations and parties, and to corporations for promotional, recreational and special events. It includes such items as tents, tables and chairs, linens, tableware and other equipment specifically rented for parties or events.

About ARA:

The American Rental Association (ARA), located in Moline, Ill., is the international nonprofit trade association for equipment rental businesses and manufacturers and suppliers of rental equipment.

Our members are located in every U.S. state, every Canadian province and more than 30 countries worldwide.
